Privacy Policy

Who we are
REACH is operated by The e-four Corporation ("we," "us"). We provide a subscription service that helps high school student-athletes identify college athletic programs that fit them academically, athletically, and financially, and contact the coaches of those programs.
Our customer is the family. We are a general-audience consumer service purchased directly by parents and guardians. We are not provided by, contracted to, or operated on behalf of any school or school district, and we do not receive student records from schools.
Who holds the account
An account is created and paid for by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on behalf of their student-athlete. The student-athlete is given their own login to use the service. The service is not available to children under 13.
When a student-athlete reaches the age of 18, the account owner may transfer ownership of the account to them.
What information we collect
We collect only what the service needs to function:
- Account information — name, email address, and billing information for the parent or guardian. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored by us.
- Athlete profile — name, graduation year, high school, sport, athletic performance marks, grade point average and any standardized test scores the user chooses to provide, intended fields of study, and preferences about school location, size, and setting.
- Family financial range — a self-reported annual amount the family can afford and a broad income band, used solely to estimate the net cost of attendance at specific institutions. We do not collect income documentation, tax records, account numbers, or credit information.
- Communications — the messages composed in the service, and replies received at our reply-routing address.
- Usage information — standard log data such as device type, browser, and pages visited.
How we use Google user data
With your explicit permission, we request a single Google account permission: gmail.send, which allows the service to send an email message from your Gmail account.
We use this permission for one purpose: to send an email that you have composed and approved to a college coach you have selected. Each message requires a separate approval action from you. We never send a message automatically or without your action.
We do not read, download, index, store, or process the contents of your mailbox. We do not have permission to do so, and we do not request it. We store a copy of the messages composed within our service so you can see your own correspondence history, and we store the delivery status of those messages.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, and we do not use Google user data for advertising, for serving ads, or to build advertising profiles. We do not allow humans to read your Google user data except where you have given explicit permission for specific messages, where it is necessary for security purposes or to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
You may revoke this permission at any time in your Google account settings or within our service. Revoking it stops us from sending further messages on your behalf.
What we never do
- We never sell student data. Not to advertisers, not to colleges, not to data brokers, not to anyone, under any circumstances.
- We never show advertising to students, and we never use a student's information to target advertising anywhere.
- We never build or sell profiles of students for any purpose other than operating the service the family purchased.
- We never share a student's information with a college except in a message that the student composed and personally approved.
Who we share information with
We use service providers to operate the service: hosting, database, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. They may process information only as needed to provide those services to us, and may not use it for their own purposes.
We use an AI service to help draft message text and to extract public information from college athletics websites. Profile information provided to it for drafting is not used to train that provider's models.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of a user or the public.
How long we keep information
We keep account and profile information while the account is active. When an account is closed, we delete or anonymize personal information within 90 days, except where we must retain records to comply with law or resolve a billing dispute.
Because your outreach is sent from your own email account, your correspondence with coaches remains in your own mailbox and is unaffected by closing your account with us.
Your rights
A parent or guardian, or a student-athlete over 18 who owns their account, may at any time:
- Access the information we hold about them
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Request deletion of all of their information, which we will complete within 30 days
- Export their profile and correspondence history
- Revoke our access to their Google account

Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and isolation of each family's data at the database level. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify affected users and, where required, the appropriate authorities, without undue delay if a breach affecting personal information occurs.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes affecting how we use Google user data will be notified by email before they take effect.
